1st Term Accomplishments

Village of Huntley Equalized Assessed Value (EAV)

  

 The Equalized Assessed Value (EAV) of your property is the product of the assessed value of your property (both land and improvements) and the State Equalization Factor, which is set by the Illinois Department of Revenue. 



Infrastructure Accomplishments

  

  • Pavement Resurfacing – this is completed on annual basis and covers at least 6.8 miles of road annually. In 2023, this was 10.9 miles.
  • 2022 Eakin Creek Interceptor Sewer project - This replaced a “temporary” lift station was completed at a cost of $1.2 Million that was completely funded through developer contributions that VOH negotiated thorough agreements. This infrastructure investment cost VOH residents $0. 
  • Water Main Replacement along Mill and Dean St. at a cost of $700,000 which was a proactive initiative to avoiding costly repairs and overtime for public works. This project had not been completed during the widening of Rte. 47 in 2010, which had resulted in numerous breaks and interrupted traffic flow in recent years.
  • Completion of Well #13 and Water Treatment Facility. This was $1.47 Million in 2023 and an additional $8 million in 2024 for the treatment facility, with over 50% of the total project being funded through ARPA Funds from the Federal Government and Developer Contributions through negotiations.
  • Rt 47 Decorative Streetlight Replacement program completed with 286 Fixtures and new LED lights

  • Amazon Receive Center and Fulfillment Center totaling 1.73 million square feet
  • Hampton Inn Hotel
  • Venture One 730,000 square foot warehouse
  • AZE IN 40,000 square foot office and 175000 square foot building
  • Universal Carriers 100,000 square foot building
  • Huntley Commercial Center (former outlet mall) two buildings (540,000 square feet and 177,000 square feet)
  • Silesia Flavors 120,000 square feet (Coming Soon)

Residential Development

     

Lennar – Talamore

  • Pod 9 – 179 units   townhomes
  • Pod 10 – 129   single family homes

 

DR Horton –   Cider Grove

  • 180 single   family residential homes

  • Construction commenced for 293-Unit Multi-Family Apartments

  • Huntley was approved for a $975,000 Federal grant in December 2022 for Small Business Development by working with Congresswoman Underwood. 
  • The site location has been selected near downtown Huntley and planning continues.


Kreutzer Road Realignment Project

  • Engineering continues
  • Plan to be submitted for bid in 2nd quarter 2025
  • Planned for commencement in later 2025
